Thermal Analysis

The Scientific Director, Prof. Paola Russo, conducts research in the areas of:
 
1. Calorimetric analysis of lithium-ion cells for the characterization of the chemical 
reactions that occur when subjected to thermal abuse.
2. Calorimetric study (DSC) of fungal enzymes for industrial applications
3. Thermal and chemical-physical characterization of food matrices
4. Thermal and chemical-physical characterization of  food packaging, edible films and edible coatings.
 
The laboratory is equipped with a Thermal Analysis Differential Scanning Calorimeter - Model DSC 8500 (Perkin Elmer).
