Innovative Extraction Processes

processiestrazione

Research is focused on the development of more sustainable extraction processes for the recovery of high-value-added molecules and fractions from food matrices and agro-industrial by-products. Particular attention is devoted to Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NaDES/DES) and switchable-solvent systems, studied as alternatives to conventional organic solvents and applied, among other things, to the recovery of polyphenols from brewer's spent grain and proteins from Acheta domesticus.
